Hit-Run Severely Injures Victim Near Hudson Valley Train Station: Suspect At Large, Police Say

Authorities are searching for the driver of a vehicle that struck a victim near a Hudson Valley train station, leaving them severely injured.

The hit-run happened on Railroad Avenue just south of the Brewster train station, police said.

The incident happened in Putnam County on Sunday, Sept. 24 between 1:30 a.m. and 3 a.m. in Brewster, when a pedestrian was hit by a dark-colored sport utility vehicle traveling north on Railroad Avenue, according to New York State Police.

The vehicle, which was possibly a Nissan, then drove away from the scene. 

The hit-run happened just south of the Brewster train station, police said.

Anyone with any information regarding the vehicle or the identity of the driver is asked to call state police at (845) 677-7300 and refer to case number 11632798.
